Biography

Rachael German is the Student Services Coordinator for the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program at Wayne State University. In addition to teaching within the program Rachael facilitates student recruitment and supports the student application and enrollment process. She also focuses on program marketing and community engagement by participating in multiple career fairs in Metro Detroit. Rachael has over ten years of diverse clinical experiences in the field of athletic training. She has worked in many different clinical settings including action sports, gymnastics, Division I athletics, and multiple high schools. Rachael is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. Prior to joining WSU in 2017, she was the Athletic Trainer at Woodhaven High School in addition to adjunct teaching at Baker College. Rachael is an active member of the profession and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA). She also serves on the Professional Education Committee for the Michigan Athletic Trainers Society and is a member of the Downriver Career and Technical Consortium Advisory Board. Rachael has a strong passion for the profession of athletic training and instilling knowledge and determination in her students.
