Graduate and Post-Bachelor advising

The Division of Academic Services provides pre-admission advising for prospective students seeking information about the college's graduate degree and certificate programs, as well as post-bachelor teaching certification. Committed to WSU’s Advising mission and vision, College of Education advisors ensure all students are affirmed and empowered. Admitted graduate and post-bachelor students should meet with their faculty/assigned advisor.

Tuesdays Drop-in advising

Students may meet with advisors for drop-in appointments, in person or virtual, every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These meetings are designed to answer questions or address immediate needs a student may have.

Zoom meeting

After connecting through Zoom and once we open Virtual Open Advising/Office Hours on Tuesdays, you will enter the waiting room. The room moderator will ask your questions to determine how best we can assist you. When an advisor or staff member is available, we will move you to a breakout room to meet one-on-one with that advisor or staff member. You must accept the invitation to join the breakout room.

The virtual environment will function much like face-to-face Open Advising/Office Hours. There may be a waiting time to meet with an advisor or staff member. In addition, advisors and staff members will be away during their lunch.

In-person drop-in advising

  • College of Education Building, 5425 Gullen Mall, #489 (campus map)
  • OneCard (or other picture ID) may be required.
