On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Melanie Markwart, Ed.D. candidate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program successfully defended her dissertation “Black Girls' White Schools: Black Girls' Perceptions of Attending Predominantly White Schools in the Metro Detroit Area.” Dr. Markwart’s committee members are Dr. Erica Edwards, major advisor; Dr. Sarah Lenhoff and Dr. Sherell Mcarthur.
