Donovan Nguyen, College of Education student in the Exercise and Sport Science program receives GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team recognition

College of Education - Donovan Nguyen (Shelby Township, Mich. / Utica) is a junior on the men's tennis team. Nguyen, who is majoring in Exercise and Sport Science, received GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team recognition for having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. Nguyen is being recognized for the second straight year.
To earn conference All Academic recognition, student-athletics must be an active member of their respective teams at the end of the season and cannot be a freshman or first-year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the previous semester.
