Beverly Schneider, academic advisor for the College of Education Teacher Education Division, will be recognized on Friday, October 14, 2016. She will be honored during the Detroit Public Schools Community District's annual scholarship dinner, Honoring Unsung Heroes of Detroit Public Schools. At this yearly event, former Detroit Public School administrators are recognized for their positive contributions to the district during their careers. Schneider retired from the DPSCD as a central office administrator in 2002 after a very successful career with DPS. She has continued her dedication to students here at Wayne State University, where she has worked since January of 2002, advising them through their programs to become teachers.
