The College of Education congratulates Anna Ruhstorfer and Kate Sherwood for being named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for women's basketball. Ruhstorfer a junior and Sherwood Balk a sophomore are pursing degrees in Kinesiology.

Anna Ruhstorfer (Grand Blanc, MI) is being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 or higher.

Kate Sherwood (Canton, MI) is being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

To earn conference All Academic recognition, student-athletics must be an active member of their respective teams at the end of the season and cannot be a freshman or first-year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the previous semester.
