The college congratulates alumnus Matthew S. Outlaw (Ed. S. ’06, Ed. D. ’09) on his unanimous selection as superintendent of Brighton Area Schools this week! A member of the college’s Board of Visitors, he is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University and superintendent of the Brandon School District (Oakland County). Outlaw previously held positions as principal and athletic director at Grosse Pointe South High School, assistant principal at Grosse Pointe North High School, and dean of students in the Novi Community School district. He earned his education specialist certificate in general administration and supervision and his doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy studies. Outlaw’s anticipated start date is Oct. 26.
