Dr. Ke Zhang is Co-PI on a multi-disciplinary research group led by Dr. Haylay Thompson at Karmanos Cancer Institute. The 1.8 million grant from NIH is designed to conduct a 4-year, multi-phase research project on cancer survivors' eHealth activities. The project will (a) study cancer survivors' use of health information technology in their daily life, (b) generate user-centered design principles for eHealth system development based on the research findings, and, (c) apply these design principles to develop a prototype of a mobile app to better support cancer survivors' eHealth activities and to facilitate better use of care-supportive resources.
