On Thursday, December 10, 2020 Anita Bates, Ph.D. candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction program successfully defended her dissertation "Interrogating Museum Narratives: Early American Genre Painting, Kehinde Wiley and Photographic Perspectives of Youth of Color." Dr. Bates’ committee members are Dr. Holly Feen, major advisor; Dr. Jasmine Ulmer; Dr. Michael Stone; and Dr. Jim Brown.
