Emma Weber, College of Education student pursuing her bachelors in Kinesiology is named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for swimming

Emma Weber - WSU Swim & Diving TeamThe College of Education congratulates Emma Weber, who is a senior pursuing her bachelors in Kinesiology in the division of Kinesiology, Health & Sport Studies on being named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. A total of 11 Wayne State University women's swimmers and divers have been named to the GLIAC All-Academic Teams, including six on the Excellence Team.

To earn conference All Academic recognition, student-athletics must be an active member of their respective teams at the end of the season and cannot be a freshman or first-year transfer student. Student-athletes that meet that criteria and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.49 are eligible for the All-Academic Award. Student-athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the All-Academic Excellence Award.

Emma is a two-time GLIAC All Academic Excellence recipient. Additionally, she is a university honors student and was name to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for Fall 2015, Winter 2016, Fall 2016, Winter 2017 and Fall 2017.
