The College of Education congratulates seniors Haley Boccomino, Rachel Kloski, Dazmonique Carr, Kierra Johnson, junior Amy Vangieson and sophomore Teresa Diehl for being named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for women's indoor track and field. All six students are pursuing their bachelors in Kinesiology in the College of Education division of Kinesiology, Health & Sport Studies.

Haley Boccomino, Rachel Kloski and Teresa Diehl are being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 or higher.

Dazmonique Carr, Kierra Johnson and Amy Vangieson are being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49.

To earn conference All Academic recognition, student-athletics must be an active

member of their respective teams at the end of the season and cannot be a freshman or first-year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the fall semester.

Rachel Kloski of Warren, Michigan and Kierra Johnson of Pontiac, Michigan are three-time recipients of the GLIAC indoor track academic recognitions. First time recipients are Haley Boccomino of Macomb Township, Michigan; Dazmonique Carr of Lawnside, New Jersey; Teresa Diehl of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; and, Amy Vangieson of Walled Lake, Michigan.
