Congratulations to Dr. Thomas Edwards professor of Mathematics Education in Teacher Education for the College of Education, who has been nominated and chosen to receive the 2019 Career Achievement Award from The College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. Each year the College of Education and Human Ecology at OSU recognizes the accomplishments of its alum both in society and within the university, advancing the common good and inspiring others to address challenges with insight and creativity. For the 2019 EHE Hall of Fame and Alumni Awards Dr. Edwards, has been nominated to receive The Career Achievement Award. The Career Achievement Award honors EHE alumni who have proven records of career accomplishments and have made outstanding contributions to their professions. Dr. Edwards' primary research interests are teaching school mathematics in the context of real word problems, the integration of technology, especially graphing calculators, in school mathematics instruction, and the means by which students of all ages acquire mathematical understanding. He has published articles that address these issues across a number of grade levels in mathematic journals, as well as several presentations.
