Every 60 seconds a woman dies of breast cancer. We won't rest until breast cancer is a history lesson, not a current event. 75% of the net income from our Race stays in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties to fund breast cancer screening, treatment support and education programs; the remaining 25% supports the Komen Award and Research Grant Program.
Support Our Mission: Use of the Funds
The goal of Susan G. Komen is to provide maximum return to support their mission of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever through education, screening, treatment, support and research. 75% of Race net funds are spent to support their mission. 83 cents of every dollar Komen spent during fiscal year 2013 went to fulfill their mission, making the 8th straight year they spent more than 80% on the mission program.
