Yasmine Affes, Teanna McCuaig, Aliyah McDonald, Chloe Wandell, Emma Willet and Gabbi Willet of the College of Education have been named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for women's outdoor track and field

The College of Education congratulates Yasmine Affes, Teanna McCuaig, Aliyah McDonald, Chloe Wandell, Emma Willet and Gabbi Willet for being named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for women's outdoor track and field. Emma Willett and Gabbi Willett are juniors majoring in Secondary Education. Yasmine Affes, Teanna McCuaig, Aliyah McDonald and Chloe Wandell are sophomores majoring in Kinesiology.

Emma Willett (Holgate, OH), Gabbi Willett (Holgate, OH), Yasmine Affes (Northville, MI) and Aliyah McDonald (Kingston, Jamaica) were all name to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.

The Willett twins were recognized for the second consecutive year in outdoor track. Affes and McDonald were eligible for the first time this year.

Collecting All-Academic Team accolades for having a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 were Teanna McCuaig (Sparta, MI) and Chloe Wandell (Muir, MI).

McCuaig and Wandell were eligible for the first time this year.

To earn conference All Academic recognition, student-athletics must be an active member of their respective teams at the end of the season and cannot be a freshman or first-year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the previous semester.
