Curriculum & Instruction - Education Specialist Certificate (Ed.S.)

The Teacher Education Division offers a number of education specialist programs at the elementary, secondary and K-12 levels. These certificate programs are designed to strengthen the educational background of teachers, administrators and other education professionals.

Admission to this program is contingent upon admission to the College of Education and the Graduate School.

Educational Leadership and Policy Studies - Administration and Supervision - Education Specialist (Ed.S.) Certificate

These Ed.S. certificate programs serve personnel who wish to pursue administrative positions in education, as well as practicing administrators who want to enhance their skills. The certificate can be a preliminary step toward a doctoral degree, and will allow for application to the Michigan School Administrator Certificate at the building level for elementary and secondary administrator K-12, central office administration, or approval for supervisor and director of special education, depending on the plan selected.

Literacy and ESL/Bilingual Education - Education Specialist Certificate (Ed.S.) -

The Education Specialist Program is designed primarily for practitioners in the field who are interested in assuming literacy leadership and curriculum positions within school buildings, school districts, or community agencies and groups.

Special Education - Ed.S.

Explore Special Education Studies at Wayne State University, College of Education, Teacher Education Division. Our program is designed to prepare you with the teaching knowledge and skills for special education to help transform the lives of individuals living with disabilities. Concentration areas leading to certification include Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cognitive Impairment.
